  • It’s not a Big Mac
You gotta learn to talk smack
    This verse is bad
    Because we are sad
    Make a new series soon!

  • so, did i miss it, or was there no final over-all, look- and taste-test winner?? they all looked tasty, but i want to know which one leslie and the guys thought actually TASTED best! awesome series.

  • I’d like to echo Dan’s comment. What was the Abbott family verdict??
Man watching you sizzle, chop, layer, assemble your masterpieces sure made me HUNGRY for a burger!

  • Russell from New York

As long as the masses are fed, everyone wins. The family of man (or Abbott) is sated, and all rivalry is forgotten, dissension is averted, and peace once again reigns on the western frontier. Wait a minute – sounds more like a recipe for socialism rather than a Big Mac. Have we been the victims of subliminal socialist propaganda? Is the Taoist and socialist agenda one in the same? Well, all I know is I agree with my Jasmin, in that I’m now hungry for a burger, so perhaps it was all just a capitalist trick to get us to go out and buy food to stimulate the economy. Whatever it was, a cooking video is may just be a cooking video after all, I enjoyed it. Thanks, fellas.

  • All of the burgers looked delicious … In video 2 of this series, I could make out most the ingredients in your secret sauce recipe except for 1 Kyle, but I look at it a few more times until have it lol. I hear its all about the sauce :-)

  • Oh, by the way, this is no joke, I read that Researchers are now working on “Smello-vision” and “Tasto-Vision.” ;-)

  • OK, I guess a lot of the tasting process got cut out in the process of cutting about 30 minutes of footage into half. But I had your best interests in mind, because it was boring. :-)

Basically, they were all tasty. Kyle’s was a little too toasted and dry, but actually tasted the most Big Mac®-like. So in that respect, he came out on top. I thought Papa’s was the flat-out tastiest, though. (As did Papa.) More like a Whopper®. Mine was also good, but I was hurt by the inherent disadvantage of having to use those micro-patties.

@Toni: The YouTube video where Kyle got the recipe has the ingredients to the secret sauce.

  • Ronald Mc Donald said he couldn’t come by for a taste test and I don’t eat hamburger. So the contestants were the judges. Seemed to work to their satisfaction:)

  • gosh I was just reminded of two commercial jingles

    two all beef patties
    special sauce
    lettuce
    cheese
    pickles
    onion
    on a sesame seed bun

    and

    hold the pickle
    hold the lettuce
    special orders don’t upset us
all we ask is to let us serve it your way

all three looked great, but I gotta go with Carl’s burger . . just from the looks

  • Well thank you very much Luke.

  • I think Kyle had the right idea trimming the buns. Its all about proportion and balance, ya know? I like to use those yummy and chewy Gayles francaise (sp?) rolls, but you gotta halve ‘em, split ‘em and hollow ‘em out. Then make square patties. Worth it, though…mmmm.

  • I forgot to mention how great all the new stuff is here on AFB.
    Great job.

  • This is making me SO HUNGRY! I must try this.
