It was fun when I turned 18. Not just because I had to pay taxes, but also because I could open an account and start investing in stocks!
Recently (i.e, early 2008, before the market went to the dumps), I couldn’t resist getting the stock you see at the bottom of my portfolio: Abbott Laboratories! I thought that was blog worthy.
Note: Back then I had gotten a little trigger-happy with the stocks and therefor bought quite a bit more than I could handle, even though I was making 7+% back! Now, the portfolio has been trimmed back quite a bit and unfortunately, I had to sell Abbott Labs!
