An Abbott Tradition: The Beach - Part 1 [video]

On most sunny mornings, we all go to the beach to do Yoga, Tai Chi or Karate, a jump in the water and finally a cocoa/croissant (to get our Mayan/French Culinary Fusion fix) breakfast at The Wall (on which the sun shines providing a warm surface for a toasty backside)

What a fine, healthy tradition. Hope the water was as warm as the cocoa.

that’s an intereting way to heat the milk. I usually just pour it into a small sauce pan and heat just before boiling.

    neat little tradition y’all have

Yeah. I do that too. I’m not sure why he does it that way, as it takes longer to heat for the same result (and therefor wastes gas), but hey, the longer he takes, the more shamisen I get to play! (Oh, the deal we have is he makes the food while I play and when we get back, I clean the pan thermoses)

Why the separate lone gas burner? Does it put out vastly more BTUs than the burners in the gas range?

Yeah. Years ago, we got that (Wolf) burner at some restaurant supply store. It puts out more BTUS than all 4 burners in the gas range combined. . . and then some! Perfect for stir-fries.
