For the past year, we’ve been going to the beach for swimming. It’s been a really long time since we’ve been in a pool. There’s two things we’ve gotten used to by swimming in the ocean: 1) It’s salty so when we are in deeper water, we’re a lot more buoyant and it’s easier to stay afloat, and 2) It’s stone cold so we’re used to just jumping in and bracing it.
Well, today [actually, a few months ago because this post got forgotten in the "drafts" folder... --Ed] we had a gig at the UCSC University Inn. It went until 7:30. They had a pool there so we decided to jump in. Even though it was a “cold” pool, to us, it really felt heated since we were used to the ocean. However, one thing that I wasn’t used to was that the water was less buoyant than the ocean so you really had to struggle more to stay afloat.
Just thought I’d let you know…
